Speed Parts Xmas Party 2013

Speed Parts Xmas Party 2013 22 Dec 2013 03:59 #6950

We buy a lot of bits and pieces from a shop here in Melbourne. They do stock a lot of American muscle car stuff, but also have lots of connectors, piping, gauges and other bits we use in the Dubs. Originally we were going to take the race car today, to show them what he looks like but after busting the gearbox or clutch at the last race, he's a bit incapacitated. New gearbox should be arriving tomorrow for him.

Meanwhile, I took Frank instead :)

Wasn't a huge turnout, unlike previous years. I think the rain made some people stay home :( Oh well.

I know, it's amazing how many owners of old cars wuss out after three drops. It happens at the VW show too; half the Bugs and Buses don't show if there's any sign or prediction of rain. Bah. Wusses. In other years this party is so big there's cars all around the block!

I thought it was funny watching people eyeball Frank :D Most had no clue what to make of him, one guy kept touching the top of his radiator curiously :D Was cool when the Commodores parked next to him, they're almost the same age.
