Listed as an Ebay auction here.
Rare 1977 Volkswagon Passat Wagon

Pictures will be uploaded tomorrow.

Up for sale, my 1977 Passat Wagon. I purchased the car two years ago with 12 months registration. Drove the car for a year and took it of the road to perform a full restoration. Kidney failure and cash flow issues have put an end to that dream however.

So, she has to go to a new home. The car was the long time drive of a VW mechanic, and it has been well looked after mechanically. It drives remarkably well.

There are a few panel issues, courtesy of inconsiderate drivers. The damage is shown in the photos.

Please feel free to ask any questions or inspect the vehicle prior to bidding.

Sold for a grand total of $570. Hopefully to a good home and not a wrecker.

Yet another yellow wagon!!! Those wheels are interesting and something a bit different too.

Wonder why it has the extra reverse light at the rear? I've found my wagon reverse lights are bright enough...?

Thats a nice one. All there. The reverse lights are bright enough for the time. Today we have to have super bright lights to see everything for insurance reasons I believe.

I put an extra one in my Mk1 just to ensure people saw I was braking. The taillights are low and people are stupid. Plus there was a change in lighting laws (depending on state) some years back when the high mount lights came into being. Could be they were legally required to or just thought it was a good idea for safety reasons. I've often considered sticking one in my B1, just because people are stupid and don't pay attention.

I agree on the extra center brake light. It makes a big difference when in traffic. I'm going to put one on my DoKa. Several times I've had drivers slam on their brakes to stop behind me,
The only reason I would put a brighter backup light would be to see better backing up in the night at camp grounds. :)

Try LEDs, Tony, they're so much brighter. See if they'll work in the Doka :) Either that or add in some LED reverse lights. Did that to the Rok as the tiny reverse light on an Amarok is useless, makes a huuuuge difference.
